Life Lego’s

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13;34-35/ESV

My son enjoys Lego’s. He is always building something. I love to watch his inspiration soar while viewing Lego building tutorials. He calls in a YouTube tutorial on the Roku, then selects what he’d like to watch (ALL SUPERVISED) and then intently watches. Before I know it, he has raced off to his room to build. Do you have Life Lego’s?

The hard side to Lego’s, when you’re 5? Keeping the Lego’s sorted. He would rather dump it all together, cause it’s less work. Well, at least less in his eyes for picking up time, not for the building time.

To help him out, I bought a rolling cart with 12 drawers to keep the Lego’s separated. But he’s not there. Not old enough and developed to understand keeping the Lego’s separated by color helps you out when you’re building, constructing something. But I AM SOOOO THERE! It’s my type A coming out. Seeking to control, mitigate the damages, maintain order…

Have you ever watched someone you loved struggle? If you have, you know the irresistible force you feel to want to straighten all their Life Lego’s out. Everything was cut and dried. Well, for you it is, but not for them.

Talk soon!

God, help me be terribly patient with big people and little people. Help me understand not everyone at all times can keep their Life Lego’s sorted. That includes me.-M
