Friends! Today is an exciting day! Because I get to share, and remind you that you were known by God BEFORE you were born! Doesn’t that blow your mind? God knows you!
Here are some scriptures to focus on from the site BibleGateway:
Ephesians 1:4-5New King James Version
4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, 5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,
Jeremiah 1:5New International Version
5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew[a] you, before you were born I set you apart;
When you study the Bible long enough, you realize just how important grammar is, along with the ability to research different translations and to understand the culture and languages of the day. Do not allow yourself to be overwhelmed by this. God has given us the helper in the Holy Spirit. He will guide you along!
So, for God to “know” us means he chose us! God in his grace CHOSE YOU to be his kid. He gives EVERY human being this gift of being chosen and IT’S UP TO YOU TO CHOOSE HIM BACK!
No person gets missed, forgotten, or left out. We are given the gift of grace and eternal life. BUT HERE IS THE KICKER- WE have to choose Him back.
God knew how jealous Satan was of us and our place with God. God created a whole beautiful world for all his creation to live and for man to live in harmony with that, till Eve thought she deserved to know the EVIL with GOOD, and then it all went down the drain.
I believe God has put into our souls a GPS, because he knew without it, in our corruption, we would be lost. This God Positioning System won’t override our will, we are NOT robots. But this system is a connection with him. I liken it to the desire adopted children have to know who their parents are. It drives them. They want to know and understand their personal “genesis”.-M
