Feeling Far from God?

God’s Faithfulness

“I have heard all about You, Lord, and I am filled with awe by the amazing things you have done. In this time of our deep need, begin again to help us, as You did in years gone by. Show us Your power to save us.”-Habakkuk 3:2 NLT

Too many times, we feel far from God.

We know He is there. We know all He has done and will do. But sometimes there is a distance between us. If we really examine ourselves, our hearts, our intentions, our motives, we will often find that it was not God that moved away from us. Quite the contrary.

Being the self-centered creatures that we are, we tend to go our own way, ignoring Almighty God and the teachings of His word, and His love for us. This brings to mind a bumper sticker that I read several years ago:

God Never Changes

Be assured, God never changes. He never leaves the premises. The Lord is always there, patiently waiting for us to run to His arms and say, “Hold me. I’m sorry I ran. Take me back, for I belong in Your family.”

The Lord never stopped loving you.
He remains the same, full of love and always open-armed, waiting.

Come.

  1. A wonderful reminder that the Lord is always with us.

My life verse is Deuteronomy 31:6. But even with that as my life verse, too often I forget that He is always with me. Not only that, He pursues me with an Everlasting Love.

    Thanks so much for sharing.
