I’ve been reading and studying the book Prayers for Victory in Spiritual Warfare by Tony Evans. I will share with you my notes as I go! You can get your FREE copy here.

THREE pieces of spiritual armor you must ALWAYS have on:

Belt of Truth

  1. BELT of Truth
  2. BREASTPLATE of Righteousness
  3. SHOES of the Gospel

When you hit your bed at night you have these on!

  • Truth is fundamentally GOD BASED KNOWLEDGE
  • Truth is comprised of INFORMATION and FACTS, it also includes GOD’s ORIGINAL INTENT.
  • Truth is PREDETERMINED BY GOD.
  • TRUTH MUST BE ACCEPTED internally (your soul and mind) and then ACTED ON. You live your life according to the TRUTH.
  • GOD’S ORIGINAL INTENT makes TRUTH ABSOLUTE and is an OBJECTIVE STANDARD by which REALITY is MEASURED.

Pay attention!

DID YOU CATCH THAT??!! Truth is absolute. Not what YOU think in your flesh to be true, but GOD’s information and facts HE GAVE! And REALITY is measured by this ABSOLUTE TRUTH.

PEOPLE in their fleshy foolishness think their truth is the only truth in THEIR world. Satan loves to distort; he especially loves to distort GOD’S absolute truth.

Satan says, “Bad is good and Good is bad.” Can you see this in America? What is Satan saying in public about sexuality? About the rule of law? The Constitution?

Keep your emotions in check

When you wear the Belt of Truth you align your mind and your EMOTIONS with GOD’S view on the matter you are dealing with. HIS TRUTH on the matter.

Taking God’s view and using it to look at your situation helps us overcome the lies of the enemy. It helps us to FIGHT SPIRITUAL BATTLES with Divine SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY.

Friends, I dare say most of us do not realize the power we have IN CHRIST. We have no idea the spiritual authority we have over our lives and as a body. WE are weak-minded.

LORD! Help us to realize the spiritual strength we have in you! AMEN!
